Our management and staff

Teachers are at the heart of the school.

More than 35 fully qualified teachers work at the Prinseschool and International School Twente, bringing with them all their diverse talents. Their qualifications, experience, background and expertise ensure that the children receive a high standard of education. All our teachers frequently attend educational workshops and seminars in order to update their knowledge.

The staff at the International School Twente is fluent in English (mainly native) and familiar with the international setting and cultural diversity of the students.

School management is provided by a Principal and a Central Education Supervising Intendant.

Principal of the International School Twente:

Mrs. Astrid Dijkstra

Mrs. Astrid Dijkstra is the Principal of both the International School Twente and the Dutch department at the Daalweg. Astrid previously worked as a Special Needs Coordinator at The

Prinseschool. In 2009 she was named principal of the IST and the Staringstraat Dutch department.Astrid is the mother of three children, Oskar and the twins Isabel and Caroline.Central Education Supervising Intendant: After training at the ‘Pedagogische Academie, she was appointed as the principal of IST and Prinseschool at Staringstraat.
